Raul Véjar
DISTINGUISHED ADVISOR, ENTERPRISE OPERATIONS

Since 2015, Raul Véjar has served as a strategic advisor to Loop AI Group, helping bridge the critical gap between breakthrough cognitive research and enterprise-grade deployment. Drawing on his experience as the former Executive Vice President of SAP Business Object scaling enterprise software products, Raul has guided Loop on transforming its lab innovations into market-ready enterprise solutions—shaping product strategy, pricing models, and commercial relationships with large organizations.

Raul Véjar is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience in the enterprise software industry, specializing in strategic, operational, and managerial roles. Since 2010, he has advised and invested in several private companies within the enterprise software and technology space.

Until May 2010, Raul served as Executive Vice Precident and COO of the Business Objects division of SAP, where he led the successful integration of Business Objects following SAP's landmark $6.8 billion acquisition in October 2007—the largest acquisition in SAP's 35-year history at that time.

Business Objects was the largest independent business intelligence software company, serving over 46,000 customers including more than 80 percent of Fortune 500 companies. In this role, Raul was instrumental in realizing synergies between the two companies while preserving the unique characteristics and culture of Business Objects.

Earlier in his career, Raul served as EVP of Corporate Strategy, where he provided the CEO and SAP Executive Board with strategic guidance on a variety of competitive, operational, and organizational challenges.

Raul joined SAP AG in 1990, and in 1994, he founded and became the Managing Director of SAP Mexico, with additional responsibility for SAP Central America. In 1999, he was appointed Regional President and Senior Vice President of SAP Latin America, where he led the company's operations for seven years. Under his leadership, SAP Latin America achieved significant market penetration and leadership in the region.

Before joining SAP, Raul managed information systems at Novum Corporation, a chemical and pharmaceutical company based in Mexico City.

Raul holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (Tecnológico de Monterrey) in Mexico, one of Latin America's most prestigious private universities, and an MBA from the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in Belgium.
